Join Randy and Rob for a light painting  landscape photography adventure that will leave you with images like none you’ve ever taken before. Located in northwestern Wyoming, Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park preserves a spectacular landscape rich with majestic mountains, pristine lakes and extraordinary wildlife and is the backdrop for this incredible photography experience.

The park’s world-renowned scenery attracts photographers from all over the world and in September we will have the lush fall colors to add to this incredible location. You will be  amazed when you learn and have hands-on instruction on how to light paint some of the most fascinating scenery imaginable.

You will learn a variety of techniques—both in the field and in the classroom—that will allow you to advance both your technical skills and artistic vision. We focus on a number of professional field techniques to help you create dramatic and powerful nature images, including:

  1. Working with dramatic light, including sunrise and sunset
  2. The fundamentals of powerful compositions
  3. Light Painting for creating artistic photographs

We’ll also teach you a number of professional “digital darkroom” secrets as well. Our hands-on intensive seminars—held during the middle of the day when the light is not conducive for photography—will teach you the fundamentals of image processing, and allow you to master important techniques including:

  1. Working with Adobe Lightroom with Rob Sylvan
  2. Layer masking and image blending techniques
  3. Creating HDR Photographs with Randy Van Duinen
  4. Working with Photoshop and other photographic software
  5. Special effects techniques used for artistic expression
  6. Tabletop Light Painting in the classroom
